Who we are

Learn with Laura is a learning conversation platform operated by Pentext ("we", "us"). Contact: privacy@pentext.com.

What we collect

Creators: name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash), plan and billing status, and the documents you upload to create learning conversations. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.

Learners: the first name a learner chooses to share, their conversation transcript, and the mastery assessments generated from it. Learners do not create accounts and we do not require or verify their identity.

How content is used

Uploaded documents and conversation transcripts are used solely to deliver the learning experience: generating learning goals, visuals, Laura's replies, and learning reports. We send the necessary content to our AI provider (Anthropic) and speech services to power the conversation. Your content is not used by us to train AI models, and we do not sell personal data.

Storage and retention

Data is stored on our hosting provider's infrastructure. Creators can delete a learning conversation at any time, which deletes its sessions and transcripts. To request deletion of an account or any personal data, email privacy@pentext.com and we will act within 30 days.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie for creator logins. Learner sessions use a link-scoped token instead of cookies. We do not use advertising trackers.

Voice data

Learner speech is transcribed to text to power the conversation. Audio is processed for transcription and not retained after transcription completes.
